HighRise Repair is a member of the US Green Building Council.

Study after study has confirmed that global warming is already occurring and that it is caused primarily by human activities. The only uncertainties are how soon and in what ways it will disrupt our existence. Stronger storms? Flooded coastlines? Harsher droughts? More disease? Not to mention that our waterways, food, and air are already polluted to unsound levels in many areas, affecting our health and quality of life every day.
But there is still time to act, and our great-great-grandchildren will thank us for living more sustainably, starting now. Fortunately, many of the steps we can take can actually make our lives better as well.
At HRR we have taken the following steps:
  • Becoming active members of the US Green Building Council which keeps us updated on ways to help save the environment.
  • We use biodiesel fuel in all of our work vans. We are in the process of converting the vans to an alternative fuel source (vegetable oil).
  • We use recycled paper and supplies in the office.
  • The office is 20% solar efficient.
  • All chemicals used in applications for repairs are approved as environmentally safe.

HRR is proud to participate in the world crusade to minimize the effects that modern society has on the Earth's fragile ecosystem.

At this point, no one on the planet can debate the fact that the human race has caused some level of environmental pollution and imbalance via the distribution of non-naturally occurring chemicals to our lands and oceans. As such, these products trickle down to wildlife and humans. The degree of this negative impact can only be illustrated by science and time.

We believe that every little bit we do will have a small effect on this larger problem and hopefully, we can spread this philosophy to our industry and others alike. If one person turns off a light bulb, the effect is minimal. If a million people turn off one light bulb each, the effect is tremendous. The "Circle Of Life" is a mechanism where one industry can help another, where one idea will spread into another, where these new ideas will return back to us, where change really can happen. It takes time and work, but most good things take time and work.
